Indian Naval Armada Sparks Diplomatic Row in Bolivar Sea Exercise

An Indian task force numbering over 210 warships has arrived in the Gran Colombian star system of Caracas, marking the start of a high-profile freedom of navigation exercise that neighboring Brazil has labeled “excessive” and “provocative”.

The armada, which includes multiple task groups formed around multiple fleet carriers, represents one of the largest interstellar deployments of the Indian Navy and underscores its growing willingness to project power outside its limited sphere of influence.

Our Analysis: Brazil is widely seen as the primary focus of the operation, an obvious move meant to push back against similar Brazilian deployments in the Apollo Subcluster that have previously challenged Indian interests.
